Rutland Opsrey Project Day Trip

Extinct as a breeding species in England in the 1840s, the perseverance of the Rutland Osprey Project has changed these magnificent birds' future. Learn about their trials and successes and watch these breeding raptors fish at Rutland Water. You may also see a water rail!
Itinerary Coffee and introductory talk on arrival Then head to the hides to view ospreys on the nest with young. In the afternoon we will drive to the Anglian Water Bird Watching Centre, three miles away at Egleton to check out the hides there.
There is an option to take an afternoon cruise on Rutland Water. Details and booking can be found here.
Car-sharing is available. Please indicate if you can car-share or are willing to drive and take passengers when booking.
Hide permit is £4 per person, payable on the day in cash.
