31 October 2020, 10:30 - 15:30 (Add to calendar)
Learn how to use lino tools to carve and print your own design in our classroom at beautiful Lemsford Springs Nature Reserve.
Lino printing is a form of fine art printmaking where the printing plate is cut into lino. ... The lino is then inked, a piece of paper placed over it, and then run through a printing press or pressure applied by hand to transfer the ink to the paper. The result, a linocut print.
Suitable for all abilities- you don't need to be able to draw! There will be templates available to use if you wish, and expert tuition in a very relaxed environment.
Bring a packed lunch - hot drinks will be available and the reserve has a compost toilet.
Lemsford Springs has a small but light classroom, and two large bird hides, from which you will be able to sit and watch birds on the lagoon and in the margins.
Booking essential. £25 per person. Suitable for adults and young people aged 14 and over.
Refunds will be given up to 14 days before the event.
Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the work of Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.
