The Grove Formal Gardens Tour and Cream Tea

Enjoy a gentle stroll around the beautiful gardens of The Grove guided by their Senior Gardener. The tour will take in the Formal Gardens with its spectacular herbaceous border and be in with a chance of spotting the resident little owl. The impressive Walled Garden, constructed in 1878 by Edward Hyde, 5th Earl of Clarendon, comprises four parts defined by avenues lined with hornbeam and walnut trees and has impressive displays of fruit, vegetables and herbs.
After the tour, lasting approximately 1.5 hours, you will return to the historic heart of The Grove, where the Earls of Clarendon threw lavish house parties for the likes of Queen Victoria and Horace Walpole, for a sumptuous cream tea comprising of a selection of warm fruit scones, strawberry preserve, lemon curd and Cornish clotted cream with your choice of tea and coffee.
